Born in 1966, I was raised on a farm in south west NSW then went to School in Sydney. After completing the HSC in 1984, I began my life as woodworker through an apprenticeship in furniture making. I studied woodcarving under Micheal Gill and Bob Howard. I completed my trade living and working in the English Lake District. I returned to australia the long way via Africa and the Sub-continent. in 1992, Reid Brothers Furniture was born in partnership with my brother Stuart on my parents property in Bundanoon, where we still operate a thriving business. Relatively new to conceptual Sculpture, it evolved through my love for the surrounding natural evironment and the need to expand my thinking outside the square. My first Exhibition was in the Bowral Sculpture Prize earlier this year, which has resulted in a collaboration with Stone sculptor Jules van der Sandes.
