Artist Statement

I have been involved with mosaics for the last 15 years. With a background as an art therapist I have used many art and craft forms. Mosaics which involves the placing of small pieces of beautiful materials (called tesserae) enables so many possibilities and it captured my imagination. My art and technical studies in Italy, USA and Australia have given me teaching skills to make the most of my favourite material - glass. I have taught mosaics for the last 10 years and also have my own workshop on the Northern Beaches. My mosaic career has taken me around Australia as a Guest Artist, trade shows in Artisan Lanes, Artists Trails and to creating many installations and commissions.
