Artist Statement

I notice the sedges, grasses, rushes and vines wherever I walk. I imagine how these fibres can be woven and shaped to change them from fragile fibres to robust forms. Yet, the finished forms maintain their connection to the natural world, continuing to age. Each piece lives beyond its creation.
