Peter Schmid

Artist Statement

As an apprentice Potter for 3 years attending the Kunstgewerb School in Bern. Complete in 1989. In 1990 return to Australia and together with his wife Ann Built the Pottery studio in Alpine NSW Making House hold ceramic domestic ware. 2000 built a woodfired kiln to create one off pieces influenced by the Ash and a reduced atmosphere that comes with firing using wood as a fuel. Presently deviding his time between making and teaching while serving the community as part of NSW fire and rescue and gardening.
