Artist Statement
Art has been a hobby and passion throughout my life when life and everyday living allows. My grandmother inspired me to create, with her detailed bark paintings and pressed floral artworks. Over the years I explored a variety of different mediums. Moving to the Highlands in 2016 I explored a range of classes and workshops, experimenting using charcoal, pencil and collage via online workshops during lockdowns. Currently I delight in creating with our Fusion painting group, attend the odd workshop and visit exhibitions. I now encourage my grandchildren to paint and draw, so maybe life’s come full circle.
