Creative Industries Cluster / supporting local creatives

Introducing creative industries cluster southern highlands (CiCSH)

A group of arts-based organisations and creative practitioners focused on identifying and supporting opportunities for the local creative industries sector.

This is a loose affiliation currently operating under the auspice of the Southern Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In 2020, the group commissioned a report considering the value of arts, culture and heritage across the Southern Highlands. There were three recommendations from this report:

  1. Establish a representative group for the industry
  2. Develop Cultural Tourism opportunities
  3. Document and quantify the sectors and size of the creative industries

A copy of the report can be downloaded below.

The CiCSH has commissioned a further research report as per the third recommendation. Both reports have been funded by Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Community Assistance Scheme (2020 and 2021) supported by the Southern Highlands Artisans Collective (SHAC), the Southern Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Southern Highlands Foundation.

A survey has been developed as a means to collect basic information from individuals, galleries, venues, organisations etc. No matter what your creative practice, or your level of proficiency; all Southern Highlands creatives are encouraged to tell us – Who are you? What do you do? What can you offer? What do you need?

Please complete the survey here during January 2022 –
