PopUp Project / Highlands Creatives & Artists

The Pop-Up Project is a collaboration of artists from the Southern Highlands, who ‘pop’ open their studios at anytime throughout the year.

The Pop-Up Project acts as a support body, organising networking opportunities, education and development, marketing support and workshops.

The Pop-Up Project provides space for members to sell their art within local businesses, creating partnerships whereby local artists and business benefit; creating opening events and mini exhibitions.

This June is our inaugural collective opening where all member artists are invited to open their studios to the public. An opportunity to experience the Southern Highlands rich artistic and culture aspects. Meet with the artists in their studios and Galleries seeing where and how they create. Giving you the ability to ‘experience’ the process of purchasing your artwork and understanding ‘its’ and the artists journey – making the piece that much more special. Being the June long weekend – take advantage of everything the Southern Highlands has to offer. Break-up your artistic visits with enjoying culinary delights, fine wines and gorgeous boutique shopping.

See the map for each of the studios that are open on the long weekend. You will see pink and white signs posted up to help guide you to each entrance and where to park. Prefer online? Thanks to Southern Tablelands Arts you can find out all the artists online at the link below – or use Google Maps! Additional maps are available from the Welcome Centre at Destination Southern Highlands, 62-70 Main Street, Mittagong.
