“Celebrating Clay in the Garden”

Tuesday 19th September – Monday 2nd October 2023

Open daily from 10am – 4pm

Celebrating Clay is a group of ceramics artists based in the Southern Highlands, producing work for exhibitions a few times a year.

Susan Buret builds totem pole garden sculptures.

Zoë Black creates hanging sculptures using local wild clay.

Catherine Castelain forms colourful clay flowers, incorporating native nuts and sea shells.

Sarah Norton finds the personal in the landscape, expressed through her functional and decorative pieces.

Emma Robertson creates both wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces evoking a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world, drawing inspiration from the intricate patterns and details found in flowers, leaves and other organic forms.

Bronwen Wicks is inspired by endangered and traditional Highlands flower species in her decorative, wearable flower jewellery pieces using porcelain and majolica.

Irena Ziolkowski finds immersion in nature evokes joy, and to create with clay brings wonderment at that which comes from mother earth.
