Sandra Passerman Ceramics

Studio Description

Sandra Passerman lives in the small rural town of Wingello in the Southern Highlands of N.S.W. She studied pottery at the national School of Ceramic Art in Buenos Aires, Argentina before emigrating to Australia in 1987. Sandra began teaching at Bondi Pavilion Community Centre in 1989 and has since also worked for Hazlehurst Regional Gallery and Art Centre, teaching ceramics and visual arts to children of school age, working for school holiday programmes, school excursion programmes and after school art classes. In 2016 she moved to the Southern Highlands and after building a new studio, she has immersed herself fully into her personal journey as well as running one day workshops teaching the art of "cuerda seca" and other techniques. Sandra also is part of the Bundanoon makers market, and the Winterfest festival events. Her work is constantly changing, from sculptural vases depicting nature that surround her to decorative tiles.
